I tend to prefer classic shapes or variations on the classics so, for me, this pipe was a bit of a “frolic and detour” to use the legal term. The experiment turned out quite nicely. The briar is nicely grained. The stem is hand cut Italian tortoise shell acrylic. Hand feel is terrific. There’s a noticeable sand pit on the very bottom of the pipe and one on the rim. (See photos).
