Marxman was founded by Robert Marxman in New York in 1934 and survived until 1953 when it merged with Mastercraft. This pipe was likely created in the 1940's and is of the same roughly hewn style as the Custom-Bilts of the same era. Contrary to it's name, it's by no means "Jumbo" and is actually more a Group 3 or 4 in size and capacity. It's in perfect condition and definitely a piece of American pipe making history.
